French Martini Cocktail Recipe
Vive la Friday Cocktail. I only got a C in my O’ Level French, can you tell? On the positive side, I always get an A in cocktail making. And this French Martini is delicious. I had to stop myself from sipping it while I was photographing it because a) there would be nothing to show you lovely readers and b) it was only 10am in the morning – shameful.
This is an easy cocktail, just shake and pour and it includes no extravagant ingredients. So dust off the cocktail shaker after it’s Christmas exertions and give this a try, just maybe wait until after 10am where possible.
Here’s that elegant bottle of Chambord again. It’s really tasty and £7 or £8 well spent. These ingredients don’t initially scream perfect match, but give this a try, I was more than pleasantly surprised.
Add some ice to the cocktail shaker then pour on the measure of vodka.
Measure out the wonderful black raspberry scented Chambord and add this and the pineapple juice to the shaker.
Give it all a good shake, burning off at least 3 calories in the process, then pour into an elegant glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon rind, or a jaunty pineapple wedge if you have one to hand.
The perfect Friday cocktail, so drinkable, yet so simple. Très bien mes amies, or something similar. Have a restful weekend.
