Raspberry Ginger Spritzer

Raspberry Ginger Spritzer Recipe

This week’s Friday Cocktail features a lovely new Lucy Loves acquisition. A certain reader, who shall remain nameless *Pauline* said she was tired of seeing my mirrored tray every Friday and it was time for a change. She, frankly, does have a point and any excuse for a bit of retail therapy, so off I popped to my favourite shop, The Long Room. This fine purveyor or all things vintage and super stylish didn’t let me down and I found my new and wonderful, floral painted Friday Cocktail tray.

My new tray was the perfect excuse for a delicious new bottle of Chambord and this refreshing new drink, my Raspberry and Ginger Spritzer. This cocktail is quite simply the most drinkable little tipple I have had since my favourite Dark and Stormy. I sampled three of these with a friend who innocently popped in for a cup of tea, such was its allure. The vodka and raspberry scented Chambord are spritzed together with chilled ginger beer to fashion this into a super sippable Friday treat. Serve over plenty of ice and be prepared to make a second fairly swiftly after the first.

And here’s my prize new tray. Look how these stylish cocktail ingredients compliment it so well.

Make a start with this Raspberry and Ginger Spritzer with a large handful of ice in a good sized tumbler.

Next, pour in the Chambord or any other raspberry based liqueur and the vodka.

Top up this tasty mixture with some chilled ginger beer and a little splash of fizzy water.

And that’s about it. Give this a tiny stir to mix then garnish with a couple of raspberries.

Sip this gingery, fruity glass of joy and be ready to make another.

Don’t be too envious of my new tray.

What a fresh way to celebrate the end of the week. Regardless of the fact it feels like November outside, this summery scented drink will warm you right up.

Have a restful weekend.
