This Cocktail Friday, at long last, someone else has actually made me a bloody drink. This doesn’t happen often in our house, what with me being the bartender. This week, however, those generous people at The Drinks Bureau have kindly sent me their Shirley Temples and Dirty Shirleys to try, and try I did.
Not only do these ready made cocktails taste amazing, The Drinks Bureau, to celebrate Pride Month, pledges to donate 10p of every can sold from now until end of August, to support the invaluable services provided by Stonewall Housing, offering assistance and refuge to LGBTQ+ individuals in need.

The Shirley Temple, the more virtuous non alcoholic cocktail, is a classic mix of cherry, ginger, lemon and bitters is deliciously bright and refreshing.

The slightly more naughty Dirty Shirley, which has always been a Lucy Loves favourite, is spicy, vodka laced and really rather drinkable.

I am quite fussy about my ready made cocktails, but these are beauties, and may now replace my go-to gin in a tin. You can get yours, via the Drinks Bureau’s Amazon shop, or directly from the Drinks Bureau. Their party bundles are well worth a look, if you’re entertaining a crowd this summer.

All you need to bring to the party is a maraschino cherry.
